From the smallest SPAR store in the country to a ten-store local retail group.
What began as a single corner shop on the Crumlin Road has grown into one of Belfast’s most trusted local retail groups. Founded by Gavan and Helen Wall, The Wall Group now operates ten stores across Belfast and Newtownabbey.
The first store started from extremely modest roots as the smallest SPAR store in the country at just 468 sq ft. That small footprint shaped the business: every inch had to work hard, every customer mattered, and every member of staff had to care about the details.
By January 2021, the business had evolved significantly. A new 5,000 sq ft flagship SPAR store was developed on an adjacent site. Today, Landscape Filling Station stands as the flagship of The Wall Group story.
